I get it. I wear lots of hats too, and right now each role feels a little more intense — hello homeschooler!

On some days, there are so many things to do that you get excited. You motor through your list checking off ALL the things, but as you lay down to go to bed at night, you feel more overwhelmed than complete, more exhaustion than gratitude. And the idea of tomorrow’s list looms.

On other days the list is long but unmotivating. It might feel like you are wading in mud, and not finishing anything. The idea of all the things you have to do feels like a burden, but that does not feel like the right gesture for a mom or a professional, so you put on a smile and carry on. You are good at “that smile,” until you are not.

On some days you think about when the kids are all grown up, and you can really lean into your dreams, or maybe even give yourself permission to dream. Someday you will feel good in your body. Someday you will make more money. Someday you will find more joy. It seems reasonable. BUT...

A bit about Mia

My wellness adventure became a full-blown ride about 10 years ago when I understood the power food could have on my health, my family connection, and my productivity. That experience led me to become a student of food, wellness and productivity.  

I experienced two unforseen gifts from this journey. First, the practice of finding ease, despite balancing what looks like a full plate of work, home, motherhood and food. Second, the gift of a good plan.
